Van Der Valk Hotel Breukelen

Amazing hotel with great amenities like free wi-fi, 24-hour reception, and a relaxing spa. I remember how the staff helped me print documents during my first stay. I highly recommend it! Coming back for Christmas!

The personnel was top-class and knowledgeable.

The location, by the motorway, by the railway between Amsterdam and Utrecht, so we could see both cities without a car.

Breakfast is very good as always.

The location between the motorway and the railway tracks is favourable for the connection but does not make the surroundings attractive. In addition, the hotel is currently a large construction site.

Due to construction work we were woken up in the morning 3 days in a row. Tuesday 6:40, Wednesday 7:30, Thursday 7:40. However, at the time of booking there was no mention of construction work in the hotel. Balconies not separate. Mirror with fingerprints, 2 yellow stains on the varnish.

Relaxing, Relaxing, Relaxing

The wellness center was a true escape with its peaceful ambiance and lush facilities. I loved the indoor pool and saunas. And don't even get me started on the breakfast buffet-so many options, including a Dutch snack corner that had me smiling with delight!

Located close to the train station, you can easily get to Utrecht or Amsterdam. The restaurant offers a very good price/performance ratio. We hadn't booked breakfast. But it had a coffee machine with Nespresso capsules!

Clean place & pleasant staff at the reception desk. Good and perfect location right next to main attractions and the train station. Found in a beautiful part of the town.

By staying here one night before going into Amsterdam the following night we saved 200 Euro. We were in downtown Amsterdam after a 30 minute drive. This hotel was an excellent value. Quiet even though between the railroad and highway. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant which too was an excellent value.

Well-maintained and great quality hotel with extremely helpful staff at the reception desk. The location was convenient and top, along the railway, in the very relaxing area. The a la carte restaurant and outdoor bar were also available.

Unexpected comforts by the lake

Waking up to fine sunrise views over the lake was a highlight. The staff's friendliness softened our long travel days, helping us feel at home.

The room lacked a plug near the mirror was good, especially with a steam-filled bathroom. Some amenities felt limited for the price.

The reception and restaurant staff were great, always happy to help, and always has a big smile on their faces. The food in the restaurant was fantastic (I had cod wrapped in bacon). Our room was very spacious and very well equipped. The location of the hotel is a little out of the way, but with free parking and a 2 minute walk to the train station thats not such a problem (remember to get change for the ticket machine at the station as they do not accept notes)

The two main beds in our room were great, however the third bed was different and not very comfortable. Also I feel that the internet access should be free, €6 an hour is a little expensive.

It was extremely clean and comfortable. The rooms were spacious and the staff very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast offered a great choice, especially when you are travelling with children. The location next to the station was brilliant because we travelled to a concert to the Amsterdam Arena, and it could not have been easier. We were surprised that you could not hear either the road or the railway in your room, especially sleeping with the window open :) We will definitely come back!

great comfort but minor issues

The comfort double room was spacious, with high-quality bedding and a beautiful view! The big parking area was a huge plus since it was free .

The hotel amenities were excellent but not all were functioning well.

'we had a wonderful stay at the hotel, and it was so handy to catch the train to any where we wanted to go. The bedrooms were so comfortable and clean and the food was superb.
